Throne Speech: Highlights Relevent to Real Canadians

I did indeed scan over the drivel during down time at work.  I couldn’t read the whole thing, but here it is if anyone cares to suffer through it.

Harpercons Work Toward Equality of Women

They want to change the national anthem to make it more gender neutral??

Ladies, what was all that crazy talk about St-Stevie bein’ sexist and misogynistic now?? Now, ya just gotta stop that nit-pickin’ now, because he goin’ to see about a makin’  “Oh Canada” more gender neutral!

If they want to revise the national anthem, may I suggest this one? I promise, it’s gender neutral and fun!! Betcha all will wanna sing it!

The Deficit

To attack the deficit, they plan to ‘freeze’  MP and senator’s salaries? They for real? However, it doesn’t go far enough.  I say take it a notch further…how’s about a salary cut?? .. How’s about gettin’ rid of the senate altogether? How’s about gettin’ rid of the GG? Wow! Think of the savings!

“Balancing the nation’s books will not come at the expense of the pensioners. It will not come by cutting transfer payments for heath care and education, or by raising taxes on hardworking Canadians.”

Remember this one folks! We will more than likely have to bring this up again at a later time; especially if St-Stevie gets his totalitarian regime.

Highlights

Here are some of the highlights- not according to ConTV, but more like what’s relevent to us. We will need to review those at a later time as well:

Translation: now that he’s already stacked the senate with his buddies, he can afford this luxury.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Nicholson is just itchin’ to get those passed, idn’t he? Even though they were supposed to have died at prorogation: much like the investigation into torturegate, n’est pas??  Hey, opposition parties, you wanna look good as opposition?? Block his tough on crime bills unless they agree to reform those very same committees and go back to that  torturegate investigation! What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Ya Don’t say! Then howcome St-Stevie is soooo hell bent on deregulating all this a la Georgie & Dickie??

They also want to encourage more foreign investment which more than likely means even less Canadian jobs. Foreign, meaning, of course, the U.S. of A., St-Stevie’s favorite country. It probably also means sending more jobs out to places like Thailand, China and India. That doesn’t help the majority working class struggling to keep the jobs they do have or the jobless to be able to find work.

In short, their priorities are changing the National anthem (Just to let you know, St-Stevie, I don’ t think you can use “The Star Spangled Banner” and freezing their salaries.
