Yes, I saw it on 6 pm news from Saskatoon. It was his dripping, fake smile – you know the one – with “you know, it’s funny. You are opponnents for so many years…….and then……well…Jack…Jack & Olivia are…..we’lll, they’re friends of ours…. and Loreen & I wish them the best.” Something like that. And it came 3 or 4 hours after Jack’s announcement – not in minutes, like all the other parties!

I did hear spoken comments by Michael Ignatieff and Stephen Harper about wishing Jack Layton a speedy and full recovery.

It was nice seeing press releases on the Liberal, Green, and Bloc Québécois websites wishing Mr. Layton well.
